The Vikoma Weed Skimmer is a weir skimmer designed for the recovery of weeds and grasses in ponds, lakes and rivers.

Weeds such as duckweed or water fern can be a big problem for ponds, lakes and rivers. Weed growth can cover the entire surface of the water if not managed properly, blocking out light to submerged aquatic plants and reducing levels of oxygen in water which is a problem for fish and other wildlife.

Our weed skimmer is an easy way to remove excess weed and clear it from the pond, lake or river surface.  Weeds are recovered by the skimmer’s weir action and collected into an efficient collection system, draining the water for return to the pond, lake or river.  Collected weeds can then be composted or disposed of, as desired.
